1. Determine whether or not you are eligible for citizenship
2. Apply to be come a citizen
3. Take the citizenship exam (if you are under 18 or over 54 you are exempt)
4. Attend the citizenship ceremony (14 or older)

you must have lived in Canada for at least 3 full years (1,095 days) in the past four
The citizenship test will evaluate your knowledge of Canada and your language abilities.
You will be asked questions relating to procedures and elections, rights and responsibilities, social and cultural history, Canadian symbols, the Canadian political history, and of course the Canadian physical and political geography.

4. The Citizenship Ceremony
Anyone over the age of 14 must attend the ceremony where he/she will be taking oath.
You must bring with you your permanent resident card. There will be a judge presiding over the ceremony and they will be administering the oath of citizenship on you. If you wish to swear oath on your holy book, you may bring that to the ceremony with you.
After taking the oath of citizenship, you will be granted citizenship and given a certificate.
The Oath I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen.
