Immigration through Provincial Programs

Select provinces in Canada have an agreement with the federal government that allows them to select immigrants who have the desire to live in that province.

Applicants will need to first apply with the province in which they wish to live and only when accepted may they submit an application for immigration. To apply under this program you must be nominated by the province in which you wish to live.

Foreign nationals must first apply to the province in which they wish to live. Once the province nominates the applicant, the applicant may submit their permanent residence to Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC).

Provinces currently participating in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP):
Each province sets out their own criteria.
Click on the provinces below to learn more about their immigration program.

CIC will require all applicants to pass a medical examination and police clearances before.

Processing Times
Processing times vary depending on the office your application is being processed. Typically applications under this program are finalized within 1.5 years.

For further information, or to submit an application for permanent residence under the provincial nominee program, contact our offices to speak with an immigration specialist.
