Canada and select participating countries administer the Working Holiday Program. Citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 may apply for a working holiday visa which will provide an opportunity to enjoy the life in Canada while undertaking temporary casual work to supplement their holiday funds.
The following countries participate in the program;
Austria, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, South Africa, Ukraine, and the United States.
The number of places on the Working Holiday Program are limited yearly. The places on the various schemes are on a first come, first serve basis.
Basic Requirements
You must be admissible to Canada under the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act of Canada. You must declare any medical problems or previous criminal convictions for your application to be considered;
You must not have dependents accompanying you;
You must not have previously been issued a Letter of Introduction for the Working Holiday Program to Canada, whether it has been used or not;
You must be a citizen of a participating country.
Medical Insurance
Since temporary visitor visa holders do not qualify for Canadian health insuracne, Aptus Immigration considers it essential for Working Holiday Visa holders to purchase travel and medical insurance.
